Guidelines for Artwork for the Connecting Artists 2025 Exhibition

What Artists Need to Do:

  • Send us photos of three unframed finished pieces of your artwork. You can ask your support person to help you send us the photos. Please send photos to CA@connectionsartscentre.ie. 

  • Tell us the name of each piece and what you used to make it. 

What Happens Next:

  • Our team will choose one piece to be framed ( at the cost of CAC) and displayed and sold as part of the CA25 Exhibition.

  • All artwork that is sold through CAC has a 30% commission added to the artist chosen selling price.

  • We use a pay it forward to support the Connecting Artist Programme. Each artist will give us permission to use the image of the selected artwork to create cards that will be sold with 100% of profits going to CAC.

What type of artwork can you submit? 

Artwork Guidelines:

Artwork needs to be original artwork and cannot be a recreation of a copyrighted art work, character, item, logo, or brand.

  • Size: A2 or A3 

  • Materials: 

    • Stretched Canvas (on a wood frame), canvas board, or heavyweight paper 140gsm or higher

  • Your Artwork can be made using:

    • Acrylic paint, oil paint, watercolour, pastels, or charcoal. 

      • You can include a digital piece and a piece created using markers, but we also need one piece created using Acrylic paint, oil paint, watercolour, pastels, or charcoal.

How to Submit:

Take clear pictures of your three artworks- your support person can help you

  • Email the images to CA@connectionsartscentre.ie by: 

    • Wednesday 14th May

  • We will let you know what piece has been chosen by 

    • Friday 24th May

You then must mail or deliver the chosen artwork to CAC at: 

Connections Arts Centre, Rathgar Road, Dublin 6, D06 CF63, Ireland

  • We must receive your artwork by: Friday 7th June 

  • When mailing your artwork make sure you are protecting it and keeping it flat, so it does not get damaged. 

  • Your support person can support you with mailing or delivering your artwork to us. 

Important Notes:

We want to see your best work! Take your time and choose pieces that show who you are as an artist. Pick artwork that makes you proud and represents your unique style.
