Week 1

Meet the Artists in the short video below

This was a chance for the group to share a little about themselves and their practice. The group brainstormed about what Connecting Artists meant to them and worked together to create their contract below.

• Group Contract

  1.     We agree to respect each other, ourselves and all artwork at all times.

  2.     Be brilliant

  3.     Be creative in your work.

  4.     Stay positive.

  5.     During Groupwork, slow initiative and get involved and active in the brainstorming process.

  6.     Be Supportive

  7.     Help each other, be creative with new techniques and new ideas.

  8.     Be the best that you can be!

  9.     Enjoy the process and have fun!

Week 2

“The message I want to get across out to the world is :I like people that talk to me as a normal person and don’t talk to me as if I am a baby because I’m a wheelchair user.
What I want to say to other artists with disabilities is: don’t be frustrating because you have a disability, make the most of what you are capable of doing”
