Connecting Artists 2022

Week 3 and 4

Our Artists continue to develop their practice online. The group have been meeting weekly, developing their practice, and discussing their hopes for the exhibition. In a supported safe space environment they have bonded, and now openly encourage each other, and share their Artwork. The participants have taken ownership of the groups and are leading it’s direction. Some artists have opted to share their skills over the next few weeks, and are demonstrating new techniques to the other members of the group, effectively becoming the facilitator. We threw Amy Begley off the deep end, and she kicked this off with a watercolour pencil demonstration. Thank you Amy!

Each Artist is in the process of developing their ideas for their Exhibition piece, some ae almost finished, well done Peter. But there is no rush, we all work at a different pace in a different way . The artists also working on their Artists statement.

As part of the programmes each Artist will be highlighted on Social media in the coming weeks to build their profile and awareness for the upcoming exhibition at the RCSI in June. Keep an eye out @connectionsartscentre on FB, Insta and Linked In. Help us build awareness for these fantastic artist by liking and sharing our posts.
