Rethink Awardee for the DPAF 4.0 Fund

CAC Accessible Creative Admin Apprenticeship Programme

We are over the moon to be selected as an awardee of the Disability Participation and Awareness Fund 4.0! The new fund supports 19 innovative projects and organisations working to enhance the lives of people with disabilities over 18 months.

Our Project, The Accessible Creative Admin Apprenticeship, is a paid professional development programme for creatives with intellectual disabilities and neurodivergence. Apprentices will gain supported, real-world experience within an inclusive arts organisation, developing practical workplace, communication, creative administration and leadership skills.

Here’s what our co-editor and member of the CAC Artists Collective, Jennifer Humphreys, has to say about her involvement in the programme:

"I am deeply grateful and thrilled to be part of the Rethink Ireland disability fund. Being accepted is proof that incredible things happen when artists are trusted to tell their own stories. I want to say a heartfelt thank you to Rethink Ireland and Connections Arts Centre. They don't just talk about inclusion; they live it, supporting creativity and helping real voices rise from the paintbrush to the canvas.”

A huge thank you to @rethinkireland and @deptcde for giving us this opportunity to continue our mission of breaking down barriers for people with disabilities so they can participate fully in society.
